Childline – our company charity

We have raised over £1million for Childline, and John has even written about how this was done. Click here to find out how to raise £1million.

When John’s book “Dear James” was launched, proceeds from the first 500 books sold went to the NSPCC. Public speaking engagements by both John and James, are donated.

After Adoption

Adoption is a subject very close to John and Alex Timpson. They have 2 adopted children of their own, and have fostered over 100 children.

Ex-offenders

Timpson are providing very practical support to ex offenders, working closely with a number of prisons. Not only do we actively recruit ex offenders to work for us, we have also set up a full time training facility at HMP Liverpool and HMP Wandsworth in London . Timpson staff train inmates in a workshop in a prison workshop environment.

Work experience programme

We also are actively involved in a work experience programme where we offer the opportunity of a work placement on a day release basis with a view to full time employment.

Dreams come true

As well as helping charities and other good causes, we also try to help those closer to 'home'. Staff are encouraged to write to John  and James to tell them about how we could make their dreams come true, and one of these is chosen each month.
