PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS

Required photo dimensions: 35 x 45 mm

2 photos will need to be submitted

A white background is needed for your photos

The photos must be taken no more than 30 days previous to your application being processed.

Portuguese Passport photographs must be taken by a professional photographer.

The face should fill between 32 mm to 36 mm from chin to crown

The Photos must be in colour.

You should be looking directly at the camera.

Your expression must be neutral with no frowning or smiling

Remove your glasses to eliminate any chances of rejection because of reflections.

In the case of babies, eyes must be open.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

The photos should be No more than 6-months old

Close up of your head and top of your shoulders so that your face takes up 70 -80% of the photograph

In sharp focus and clear

Of high quality with no ink marks or creases

photographs with eye-wear are not acceptable

Show you looking directly at the camera

Show your skin tones naturally

Have appropriate brightness and contrast

Be printed on high-quality paper, and at high resolution

The Photos should Show your eyes open and clearly visible-no hair across your eyes

Show you facing square on to the camera, not looking over one shoulder (portrait style) or tilted, and showing both edges of your face clearly

They should Be taken with uniform lighting and not show shadows or flash reflections on your face and no red eye
