PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS

Required photo dimensions : 35mm x 45mm
2 photos will need to be submitted.
A light-grey or plain cream background is needed for your photos.

Printed to a professional standard.
Taken within the last month.
In colour on a plain white photographic paper with no border.
Taken against a plain cream or light grey background.
Clear and in focus.
Without any creases or tears.
Unmarked on both sides (unless a photo needs to be counter-signed).
Unaltered by computer software.
Be a close-up of your full head and upper shoulders.
Contain no other objects or people.
Be in clear contrast to the background.
Be facing forward and looking straight at the camera.
Have a neutral expression and your mouth closed.
Have your eyes open, visible and free from reflection or glare from glasses.
Not have hair in front of your eyes.
Not have a head covering (unless it’s for religious or medical reasons).
Not have anything covering your face.
Not have any ‘red eye’.
Not have any shadows on your face or behind you.
You can’t wear sunglasses or tinted glasses. You can wear reading glasses but your eyes must show fully through clear lenses without glare or reflections.

Passports for children under 6
Head size between 29-34mm.
Clear and true likeness of child.
Neutral expression is NOT required.
Head can be on an angle.
Children are not required to look directly at camera.
No supporting hands.
Babies must not be holding toys or using dummies.
Babies under one do not need to have their eyes open.
Reflection and glare are acceptable on glasses.

DIGITAL PASSPORT PHOTO  REQUIREMENTS

Include full head, shoulders and upper body.
Have lots of clear space around the head and shoulders.
No shadows on face or background.
Be facing forward and looking straight at the camera.
Have a plain expression and your mouth closed.
Have your eyes open and visible.
Not have hair covering your eyes.
Not have any headwear (unless it’s for religious or medical reasons).
Be in focus.
In colour without any effects or filters.

Dimensions : At least 600 pixels wide and 750 pixels tall.
At least 50kb and no more than 10mb.
Background Requirements : light-grey or cream background.
